The WagAware Rescue Bling Ring: Tails of Rescue Featuring Meagan Lee Medick

Meet WagAware Ambassador Owen and his human mommy, writer, producer and host of K9 CornerMeagan Lee Medick. Check out her heart-warming rescue story below:

“I adopted Owen two an a half years ago and my life has never been the same. Owen was found as a two month old puppy dumped on the streets. I saw his picture via social networks and the posts said he needed a foster or a forever home immediately or he was going to the shelter. I had just graduated from college, and I knew I wanted to adopt but was not ready. However, there was something about him that called to me so I decided to foster. From the day we met, we were immediately bonded. He followed me everywhere, and we both have the same spunky attitude and, of course, the same blonde hair. I knew he was my boy and I had to keep him. Even though I was not ready at the time, I decided to dedicate myself to being the absolute best mom to him in the world! And let me tell you, this is one spoiled babe.
I have never experienced such unconditional love and companionship. Owen has taught me how to be responsible for something bigger than myself and I know I will never have to go through anything alone. Owen also has inspired me to help many other dogs in need. With my television show, K9 Corner, I constantly stress the importance of dog adoption and fostering and feature adoptable dogs in each episode. Most recently we held a free photo shoot with a pet photographer for dogs with special needs to help get them adopted. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Owen and me. We look forward to spending the rest of our lives helping others experience the incomparable joy of adoption.”
